RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CIVIL

Introduction

A Civil is a person who shares the values of the United Civilization Movement and strives for the development of self, society, and human civilization.

The status of a Civil is not determined by origin, nationality, religion, language, or place of birth.

It is determined by the aspiration to live in accordance with the principles of Reason, Development, and Unity.

PART I

Fundamental Rights of a Civil

Article 1

Right to Dignity

Every Civil possesses inherent human dignity.

No one may be humiliated, devalued, or deprived of respect.

Article 2

Right to Life

Every Civil has the right to life, safety, and protection from violence.

Article 3

Right to Food and Water

Every person has the right to access sufficient food and clean water.

Hunger must not exist in a developed civilization.

Article 4

Right to Medical Care

Every Civil has the right to access the achievements of modern medicine.

The goal of civilization is to make the best medical technologies as accessible as possible to every person.

Right to Education

Every Civil has the right to acquire knowledge and develop their abilities.

Knowledge must be as open and accessible as possible.

Every person has the right to pursue happiness in their own way, as long as it does not cause harm to others.

Every Civil has the right to participate in the discussion and shaping of the future of society.

Responsibilities of a Civil

Responsibility for Knowledge

A Civil is obliged to strive for understanding of the world.

Ignorance is not a virtue.

Continuous learning is part of personal development.

Article 12

Responsibility for Truth

A Civil is obliged to strive for truth.

The deliberate spread of false information contradicts the principles of the movement.

Article 13

Responsibility for Other People

A Civil is obliged to treat other people with respect and dignity.

Cooperation is preferable to enmity.

Responsibility for Technology

Any person creating or using powerful technologies must take into account the consequences of their actions.

Responsibility Toward Future Generations

Each generation receives civilization as an inheritance and is obliged to pass it on to the next generation in a better state.

A Civil must strive for their own development:

Personal development strengthens civilization.

Responsibility for the Unity of Humanity

A Civil recognizes that people belong to a single human species and share a common destiny.

Freedom without responsibility leads to chaos.

Responsibility without freedom leads to tyranny.

A developed civilization requires both freedom and responsibility.
